Supply Chain Management Intern

Description:Loc Performance Products; Michigan's premiere full service manufacturer of large CNC machined components and assemblies for military and commercial applications.

Loc Performance is looking for an ethusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Materials department.

This internship will provide the opportunty to be apart of a team that makes a difference!

This person will assist the Material department in the coordination of expediting flow of materials, parts and assemblies between departments as well as supporting the procurement/distribution of materials parts, equipment and supplies for the organization

Duties:Assists in the monitoring and controlling movement of materials through the Plex ERP system.

Compile and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.

Assists in the coordination of all activities related to the procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.

Will aid in the solicitation and evaluation of proposals for the requested commodity.

Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.

Qualifications:Education and/or Experience
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
