Loc Performance is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Human Resource Generalist to join our Human Resources Department in Lansing!

The Human Resource Generalist implements and administers policies relating to all phases of human resource activities, including recruitment and selection, policy/practices, discipline, personnel issues, compensation, training and development, performance management, benefits, and legal compliance.

Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant non-exempt and temporary positions.

Helps to monitor the organization�s culture so that it supports the attainment of the company�s goals and promotes employee satisfaction.

Works with HQ HR staff to manage the development and maintenance of the HR sections of the internet

Assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure and the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.

Assists in the salary administration program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.

Assists in the administration of the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.

Plans and conducts onboarding for new hires to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

Governs benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

Conducts and coordinates annual training and employee-specific development.

Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs.

Plans and implements safety policies and procedures (in conjunction with the EHS Coordinator) to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.

Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons
behind separations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor�s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University and three to five years HR generalist experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
