Description:Loc Performance Products; Michigan's premiere full service manufacturer of large CNC machined components and assemblies for military and commercial applications.

Loc Performance is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Cost Estimator to join our Sales Department!

Senior Cost Estimator is Responsible for All aspects of the Quote. From building the BOM, Processing of materials, Weld Processes, Machining Processes and Coordinating and Managing Outside Vendor Services (OVS). With a strong emphasis on Machining, Print reading and GD&T.

Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Builds the Bill of material verifying rev. levels per each part Number, verifies all specifications are present.

Coordinates with the Sales and Estimating coordinator RFQs to the vendor base for raw material, OVS, Machined components, fasteners or anything else purchased. If multiple vendors are used puts together cost comparisons showing the lowers cost per component.

Comes up with accurate manufacturing times for waterjet, laser, Plasma, weld processes, machining processes, coatings and packaging.

Verifies and documents inbound and outbound transportation costs for any all OVS.

Helps support all Program managers on re-pricing of current production or legacy parts based upon volume changes and or spare part requirements per each RFQ.

Senior Estimator shall verify all cost data in the BOM is accurate and all formulas are working correctly.

Senior Estimator reviews all cost data with the Program manager and the Pricing manager before a formal review is done with upper management.

The Senior Estimator will support Customer visits as needed to provide Technical support.

Provides support in all ECNS and PCRS help verify whether costs have risen or fallen.

Walks the floor to help verify processes, to improve knowledge skill base and keep in touch with current projects and past quoted projects.

Helps support all VAVE studies to help improve costs whenever possible, constantly looking for new low cost vendors.

Helps the Team evaluate the risk for each project by accurately filling out the Quote Feasibility Analysis for every quote, no exceptions.

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree from two-year college in Business or Engineering is preferred or 5-10 years of hands on Machining programing and or cost estimating Machining.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
