Loc Performance is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Finance Department!

This opportunity is great for those who thrive under pressure and have a passion for performing essential finance duties and managing company compliance.

Summary: Perform all pertinent Accounts Receivable duties including by not limited to invoicing customers, applying customer payments to customer accounts, reconciling AR ledgers, and completing the appropriate level of follow up on past due accounts by performing the following duties.

Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares and processes daily cash and credit card deposits and fills out cash control sheet daily.

Reviews and posts receipts and payments to appropriate ledgers, spreadsheets, records, and databases.

Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.

Prepares, sorts, copies, files, and mails invoices, receipts, checks, correspondence, and other requested items.

Reviews customer contracts, enters required data in ERP system, invoices according to contract requirements.

Prepare US Government progress billings as allowed by FAR 52.232-16 on a monthly basis.

Researches and processes charge backs, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, bad checks, and similar items.

Monitors accounts receivable to ensure payments are accurate and timely.

Files check stubs and bank receipts.

Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested.

Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.

Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.

Prepares analysis and summaries of accounts.

Assist in monthly and annual closings.

Assists with related special projects, as required.

Reconciles general ledger Accounts Receivable accounts at least monthly.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
