Loc Performance is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department in Lansing!

The Quality Inspector Provides the necessary quality inspection skills to support the Company in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer.

Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

-Support the Companys mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
-Responsible for monitoring all daily floor activities in the assigned cell.
-Follows standard methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of the results.
-Records, evaluates, and reports quality data.
-Responsible for disposition of nonconforming material and contacting the appropriate personnel.
-Leads Random Process Audits, as directed by Supervisor, Quality Technician
-Participates in problem solving
-Various tasks to support the Quality Technician
-Responsible for the compliance of safety, quality and throughput goals
-Responsible for the quality of their own work and not passing on defects through the rest of the operation
-Responsible for adhering to all company work instructions that are applicable to each specific work area
-Responsible for immediately informing their supervisor/line lead about potential safety hazards
-Responsible for immediately informing their supervisor line/lead about quality defects or potential quality defects
-Actively participate in work instructions
-Responsible for reporting daily production
-Responsible for adhering to all applicable MIOSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
-Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area (5-S).
-Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
-Must be able to pass eye examination
-Working knowledge of ISO-9000 standards relating to quality documentation.
-Working knowledge of SPC techniques.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Qualifications:Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment (weld, paint, incoming inspection, final assembly, plasma saws, etc.).

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
