Loc Performance is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Plant Accountant to join our Finance department!
The Plant Accountant performs all pertinent Accounting duties including, but not limited to, preparing financial records and supporting other Department finance-related requests under the guidance and direction of the Plant Controller. The role offers growth potential within the Finance Department to assist in Loc’s rapid growth. The role requires the candidate to be flexible and have a self-starter mentality.

|Duties:||Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.|
Maintaining financial reports, records and general ledger balances related to month-end close.
Prepare progress billings for significant military contracts
Assist with analyzing inventory costs and evaluating sales gross margin reports. Share results of analyses with leadership to determine next steps
Assist with requests from outside auditors (Government, external financial statement and tax audits)
Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
Perform ad hoc financial reporting by utilizing strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of Plex (ERP system)
Prepares analysis and summaries of accounts.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree (B A. or B.S.) in Finance or Accounting.
• One to three years of relevant experience in a similar role or public accounting required.
• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.
• Cost accounting experience and/or Government contract experience a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in proficiency related to Microsoft Excel.
