Description:Loc Performance Products; Michigan's premiere full service manufacturer of large CNC machined components and assemblies for military and commercial applications.

Loc Performance is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Entry Level Machine Operator to join our Production department!

The Entry Level Machine Operator operates computer numerical control (CNC) machining centers to perform machine functions such as boring, facing, and threading parts of metallic work pieces such as castings, forgings and bar stock.

Duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate CNC machines by, setting conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math.
Verifies settings by measuring positions; adhering to international standards.
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, and zero to one year CNC Machining experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
